SPRC & Trinity Rowing expand multi-year agreement.

We are proud to announce that SPRC and Trinity Lutheran College have signed an expanded multi-year agreement to further support and grow the Trinity Lutheran College Rowing program.

SPRC is honoured to serve as the home base for Trinity Rowing, which has flourished since its humble beginnings in 2000 to become one of the largest rowing programs in Southeast Queensland. Under the leadership of former Irish rowing international and Head Coach Erik Rowan, the program continues to thrive.

Trinity Rowing provides students with the opportunity to experience the many benefits of rowing—building discipline, teamwork, and a lifelong passion for the sport!Rowing at Trinity Lutheran College has a strong and successful history, with growing levels of participation, success and teamwork on display over many years.

Rowing provides students with an opportunity to develop and enhance character, leadership and resilience, pertinent skills for success across all spheres of life.

Former Trinity students and SPRC members Ruby Hodges and Ally Sims have paved the way for the next generation of Trinity rowers, earning U.S. university athletic scholarships to compete as NCAA Division 1 athletes. In 2024, Ruby Hodges joined the University of Massachusetts, while her teammate Ally Sims signed with High Point University an outstanding achievement for both athletes and a testament to the dedication of the school’s coaching team.

From social fitness crews to supporting school athletes pursuing U.S. university pathways, or for students striving for State and National team representation, together we are committed to providing opportunities that help rowers continue their journey in the sport of rowing.

SPRC are looking forward to working with Trinity to launch further joint initiatives to help support students beyond school rowing and keep them engaged in the sport of rowing.
