provides a welcoming, inclusive environment for Rowers of all levels and ambitions.

THE SPRC MISSION

Our mission is to deliver exceptional rowing programs, within a community focused, supportive atmosphere.

 At SPRC, we celebrate the sport of rowing, fostering enjoyment, achievement, and excellence on the stunning waterways of Surfers Paradise.

PATHWAYS ROWING

Surfers Paradise Rowing Club Pathways Programs are designed to support Rowers at every stage of their journey, from Junior Development to National Representation and US University Recruitment.

Training groups are now streamed based on performance level and individual goals, ensuring each athlete receives tailored coaching and support

SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT
YEARS 8-9

The School Development program focuses on skill development, fitness, and fun.

This 16-week winter training block prioritises crew boat rowing while introducing small boat handling and land-based training.

SCHOOL PATHWAYS PROGRAM
(Years 10-12)

School Pathways Program (Years 10–12)

The School Pathways program is a 16-week winter training initiative designed to build technical proficiency and fitness.

Athletes are grouped based on their goals and ability, with limited spots available to maintain quality coaching.

PERFORMANCE
PROGRAM PATHWAY
(U17-23)

 SPRC are proud to run the Gold Coast’s only dedicated High Performance Rowing Program, supporting elite athlete development.

Our year-round Performance Program is by application only and targets athletes aiming to compete at State, National, or International levels.

US UNIVERSITY PATHWAY

SPRC actively supports Athletes aspiring to row at US Colleges with our US University Rowing Pathway.

ROWING PROGRAMS

Surfers Paradise Rowing Club Programs are designed to support Rowers at every stage of their journey, from their first stroke in Learn to Row to Social Crew Boats or Private Coaching.

Training groups are streamed based on performance level and individual goals, ensuring each athlete receives tailored coaching and support.

LEARN TO ROW 
(Age 12+)

Whether you're brand new to rowing or returning after time away, our Learn to Row program on the Gold Coast offers the perfect introduction to rowing in a safe, fun, and supportive environment.

 

Led by experienced coaches, you’ll build confidence on and off the water while learning the fundamentals through both indoor sessions and on-water training.

 

Each week, your technique, fitness, and enjoyment will grow, one stroke at a time.

CORPORATE ROWING

Looking for a unique and engaging team-building experience?

 

Our Corporate Learn to Row sessions are perfect for businesses and organisations seeking to foster teamwork, communication, and resilience, all while enjoying the stunning surrounds of our Gold Coast waterway.

 

Sessions are tailored to all fitness levels and no prior experience is needed.

For those seeking personalised instruction, Private Coaching is also available by arrangement.

SPRC MASTERS ROWING

Masters rowing at Surfers Paradise Rowing Club (SPRC) offers a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive environment for Rowers aged 27 and over on the Gold Coast.

 

Whether you're returning to the sport after some time away or discovering it for the first time, SPRC welcomes athletes of all skill levels, from Social Rowers to those chasing national medals.

Our Masters program balances fitness, fun, and performance.

 

From relaxed morning rows on the Nerang River to structured training sessions geared towards regattas, there's something for everyone.

PARA ROWING

At Surfers Paradise Rowing Club, we believe Rowing should be for everyone.  

 

That’s why we’re committed to launching a dedicated Para Rowing program on the Gold Coast, creating access for athletes of all abilities.

SPRC are proud to be driving a new vision that supports para-athletes from their first strokes to the Paralympic stage.

To make that vision a reality, SPRC is working toward establishing the Gold Coast as the leading centre for Para Rowing. 

HOME OF TRINITY ROWING

​​SPRC is honoured to serve as the home base for Trinity Rowing, which has flourished since its humble beginnings in 2000 to become one of the largest rowing programs in Southeast Queensland.

 

Under the leadership of former Irish rowing international and Head Coach Erik Rowan, the program continues to thrive.
